Our wines


Grape variety: Freisa.

Production area: Piedmont - Langhe, municipality of La Morra, fraction Annunziata, Arborina upper part.

Yield per hectare: 70 quintals of grapes per hectare.

Bottles produced:

 vertical trellised, Guyot pruning.

Wine making: 
the collection of the Freisa normally takes place in the second half of September. The grapes, harvested by hand in small airy boxes, are crushed and de-stemmed and fermented without the addition of selected yeasts. A few days before harvesting, we collect a few baskets of grapes to create the pied de cuve, which is a fermentation starter with naturally occurring yeasts on the skins. After a maceration of about 8 days with manual pumping over and punching, it is poured into a stainless steel tank where it carries out the malolactic fermentation, is then decanted into used barriques and after a refining of one year it is bottled in the summer months without clarification or filtration.

Smell: vegetable, fruity and spicy scents.

Taste: with just acidity, with rich tannins, it is a slightly rustic wine with an intense character with notes of freshly cut grass, raspberries, plums and liquorice.

Pairings: good with a little fatty foods like grilled meat, cheeses and cold cuts.

Serving temperature: 18-20°C

Serving suggestion: generally it is advisable to drink it in 5-6 years.


Alcohol content: 13,5-14,5% vol.
